Get ready for an absolutely incredible day! We'll check out and embark on a journey through time to two ancient cities preserved by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. First stop: Ercolano (Herculaneum), remarkably preserved and offering an intimate glimpse into daily Roman life. The level of preservation here is extraordinary and almost haunting in its detail. After lunch, we continue to legendary Pompeii, where you'll walk streets frozen in time nearly 2,000 years ago.

Exploring these ancient ruins with Vesuvius looming in the background is a powerful, moving experience that brings history to life in a way nothing else can. By late afternoon, we arrive in beautiful Sorrento, perched on dramatic cliffs overlooking the bay. Famous for its massive lemons, colorful buildings cascading to the sea, and that perfect blend of coastal ease and Italian elegance, this charming town becomes our home for the next four nights. After settling in, we'll walk to a local pizzeria for dinner—because in Campania, the birthplace of pizza, you absolutely must eat the real thing!

Today is the day you've been dreaming about—the legendary Amalfi Coast! We'll board a ferry and cruise along one of the world's most spectacular coastlines, where dramatic cliffs plunge into impossibly blue waters and pastel villages cling to mountainsides. This UNESCO World Heritage stretch has captivated travelers for centuries. As we cruise, you'll pass tiny fishing villages, grand clifftop villas, and medieval watchtowers, with the Mediterranean shimmering in every shade of blue imaginable.

Our first stop is Amalfi, a picturesque town with stunning architecture and rich history tucked into a ravine between steep cliffs. Wander narrow alleyways filled with artisan shops, explore historic sites, and enjoy lunch at your leisure. Then we ferry to Positano, quite possibly the most photogenic village in Italy. It cascades down the hillside in a tumble of pastel buildings draped with flowers, with luxury boutiques and breathtaking views at every turn. After time to explore, shop, swim, or simply soak in the beauty, we'll ferry back to Sorrento for dinner and story-sharing!

Island paradise awaits! We'll ferry to legendary Capri—a glamorous retreat that has enchanted everyone from Roman emperors to Hollywood stars. Rising dramatically from turquoise waters, Capri is all sheer cliffs, hidden coves, and undeniable Mediterranean magic. We'll board a smaller boat to tour the stunning coastline, passing dramatic rock formations and secret beaches accessible only by sea.

The highlight? The famous Blue Grotto, a sea cave where sunlight creates an otherworldly electric blue glow—absolutely magical and unlike anything you've ever seen! Back on land, we'll head up to Anacapri, the quieter hilltop village that retains authentic island charm. Here we'll enjoy lunch with sweeping views over the island and Bay of Naples, with time to explore, shop, or simply soak in the slower pace. Then we return to Capri town, where elegance and natural beauty come together perfectly. After our return ferry, we'll gather for dinner and toast to another spectacular day!

This elegant coastal town, perched on clifftops overlooking the Bay of Naples with Vesuvius providing a dramatic backdrop, is perfect for slowing down. The historic center is filled with charming pedestrian streets, artisan shops, and family-run businesses where traditions have been passed down for generations. Those famous Sorrento lemons—as big as grapefruits—hang heavy in terraced groves that cascade to the sea.Sleep in and embrace island time! Join the group for a beach day swimming in crystal-clear waters, or explore on your own—browse local shops, visit historic sites, explore the old fishing village, or simply lounge by the pool with a book and limoncello. We'll have lunch reservations at a beachside restaurant for those who want to join.

In the evening we come together for dinner—sharing stories of the day and winding down in lovely Sorrento.

Artists, writers, and composers have long sought inspiration here, and you'll understand why the moment you arrive.

After checking out, we'll wind up the spectacular coastal road through terraced groves and mountain forests. Following lunch in this magical setting, we'll explore Ravello's treasures on a guided walking tour—stunning historic gardens that seem to float above the coastline, elegant architecture, and those unforgettable viewpoints where the entire coast unfolds beneath you. You'll have free time to wander these peaceful streets, sip espresso in charming piazzas, or simply absorb the beauty one last time before we depart for Naples. 

Tonight, we come together for our farewell dinner—celebrating the incredible journey we've shared, the friendships we've formed, and the memories we've made. There will be laughter, happy tears, and heartfelt toasts to this unforgettable adventure! Some heading to the port, others checking into a Naples hotel for the night.

For Sicily Add-on Guests: After our Ravello adventures and dinner in Naples, we'll head to the port for an overnight ferry to Palermo, Sicily. As the ship pulls away with Naples twinkling along the bay and Vesuvius silhouetted against the sky, a whole new adventure awaits!
